1. About GoCar Moldova
GoCar Moldova is a car rental marketplace that helps travellers compare and book vehicles offered by independent local car rental partners in Moldova.
We provide an online platform where customers can search for available vehicles, compare prices and rental conditions, and select an offer suitable for their trip.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the vehicle itself is provided by an independent rental partner. The rental partner is responsible for supplying the vehicle and providing the rental service according to the conditions shown for the selected offer and the rental agreement concluded with the customer.
2. Booking a Rental Car
To make a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information requested during the reservation process. This may include your name, contact information, rental dates, pickup and drop-off locations, arrival information, and other details necessary to arrange the rental.
A booking is considered confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation or voucher confirming the reservation.
Submitting a booking request does not necessarily guarantee vehicle availability until the reservation has been confirmed.
3. Rental Prices
Rental prices displayed on the website depend on factors such as rental dates, vehicle category, pickup location, rental duration, season, availability, and the conditions offered by the rental partner.
The price and conditions displayed for a specific offer during the booking process should be reviewed carefully before confirming the reservation.
Prices shown in informational articles, guides, tables or other general website content may be indicative only and should not be considered a guaranteed rental price.
4. No Deposit Offers
GoCar Moldova may display rental vehicles available with no security deposit. These offers are provided by selected rental partners and may not be available for every vehicle, location or rental period.
A “No Deposit” offer generally means that the selected rental conditions do not require the standard refundable security deposit normally associated with the rental. Additional charges may still apply in circumstances described in the applicable rental conditions.
Customers should always review the deposit, insurance, and liability conditions of the selected vehicle before booking.
5. No Credit Card Offers
Some vehicles available through GoCar Moldova may be rented without a credit card.
Depending on the rental partner and selected vehicle, alternative payment methods may include a debit card, cash, or another accepted payment method.
The availability of “No Credit Card” options does not mean that every rental partner accepts every type of payment method. Customers must check the payment requirements displayed for their selected rental offer.
6. Driver Requirements
The main driver must meet the age, driving experience, and licence requirements specified by the rental partner.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they hold a valid driving licence accepted for driving in Moldova and, where required, an International Driving Permit or other supporting documentation.
Additional requirements, restrictions or fees may apply to young drivers, additional drivers or certain vehicle categories.
7. Required Documents
At vehicle pickup, the rental partner may require the driver to present documents such as:
- A valid driving licence
- A passport or valid identification document
- The booking confirmation or voucher
- An accepted payment method where required
- An International Driving Permit where applicable
Failure to provide the required documents may result in the rental partner refusing to release the vehicle.
8. Vehicle Pickup and Return
Customers must arrive at the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time or inform the rental partner if their arrival time changes.
For airport rentals, customers should provide accurate flight information where requested. If a flight is delayed, customers should contact the rental partner using the contact information provided with their booking.
The vehicle must be returned at the agreed location, date, and time, and according to the fuel and return conditions of the rental agreement.
Late returns may result in additional charges from the rental partner.
9. Vehicle Condition
Customers should inspect the vehicle when collecting it and report any existing damage to the rental partner before leaving the pickup location.
Where possible, customers may also take photographs or videos showing the condition of the vehicle at pickup and return.
Any new damage, accident or technical problem occurring during the rental should be reported to the rental partner as soon as reasonably possible.
10. Insurance and Coverage
Insurance conditions vary depending on the vehicle and rental partner.
Some offers may include basic insurance, while others may provide optional or included Full Coverage, reduced excess or Zero Excess conditions.
Customers should carefully review what is included, any applicable excess, exclusions and responsibilities before confirming a booking.
“No Deposit” and “Full Coverage” are separate rental conditions. A vehicle offered without a deposit does not automatically include full insurance coverage unless this is specifically stated in the offer.
11. Fuel Policy
Fuel policies vary between rental partners. For example, a vehicle may need to be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.
The applicable fuel policy should be checked before the rental begins. Additional charges may apply if the vehicle is returned contrary to the agreed fuel conditions.
12. Mileage
Some rental offers include unlimited mileage, while others may have a daily or total kilometre limit.
If a mileage limit applies, additional kilometres may be charged according to the rental partner’s conditions.
13. Cross-Border Travel
Taking a rental vehicle outside Moldova may require prior approval from the rental partner.
Additional documents, insurance, fees or geographical restrictions may apply to cross-border travel.
Customers must not take a rental vehicle across an international border without obtaining any permission required by the rental partner.
14. Traffic Fines, Parking Charges and Road Fees
The driver is responsible for traffic violations, parking fines, road charges and other penalties incurred during the rental period.
The rental partner may charge administrative fees where it is required to process a fine, identify the driver or handle another violation associated with the rental vehicle.
15. Cancellations and Changes
Cancellation and modification conditions may vary depending on the selected vehicle, rental partner, and booking conditions.
Customers should review the cancellation terms displayed during booking and in their booking confirmation.
If you need to cancel or modify a reservation, contact us as early as possible and provide your booking details.
Any refund, cancellation charge or modification fee will depend on the conditions applicable to the specific reservation.
16. No-Shows
If the customer does not arrive for vehicle pickup and does not notify the rental partner or GoCar Moldova, the reservation may be treated as a no-show.
A no-show may result in cancellation of the reservation and loss of some or all amounts already paid, depending on the applicable booking conditions.
17. Rental Partners
Vehicles available through GoCar Moldova may be supplied by independent local rental companies.
The rental partner is responsible for the vehicle, vehicle availability, pickup and return process, and fulfilment of the rental service.
The customer may be required to sign a separate rental agreement with the rental partner when collecting the vehicle. Customers should read that agreement carefully before signing it.
If the rental partner’s vehicle-specific conditions differ from general informational content on the GoCar Moldova website, the conditions confirmed for the individual booking and the applicable rental agreement should be reviewed to determine the terms of that rental.
18. Vehicle Availability and Substitution
Specific vehicle models may be subject to availability. Where a booking is made for a vehicle category rather than a guaranteed specific model, the rental partner may provide a similar vehicle from the same or a higher category.
Vehicle examples displayed on the website may therefore represent a category and do not always guarantee a particular make, model, colour or specification unless explicitly confirmed.
19. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for using the rental vehicle responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and the rental agreement.
Customers should not:
- Allow an unauthorised person to drive the vehicle
- Use the vehicle for illegal activities
- Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Use the vehicle in prohibited areas or for prohibited activities
- Take the vehicle across a border without required permission
- Ignore warning lights, damage, or significant mechanical problems
20. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on GoCar Moldova accurate and up to date. However, rental prices, availability, vehicle specifications and partner conditions can change.
Photographs of vehicles may be illustrative. Colours, equipment, model year and other characteristics may differ from the vehicle supplied.
